In 2003, Fayum Gas Company signed a contract with Emisal for Salts and Minerals to build, operate and maintain the necessary system to supply the factory with its needs of natural gas.
The scope of work for the project included the following:

Preparing all the necessary technical and financial studies.

Issuance of the required licenses and permits.

Procurement of materials.

Constructing a high density polyethylene pipeline, 7 bar; ranging from 250 mm to 315 mm in diameter, with a total length of about 30 kilometers starting from the (PRMOS) at Kom-Oshim area up to the factory premises located beside Lake Qaroun.

Supplying and installing a pressure reduction and metering station (PRMS); (7/2 bar; capacity 10,000 m3/hr)

Constructing the under/above ground internal networks from the (PRMS) up to the boilers.
By March of 2004, Fayum Gas Company completed the project and successfully commissioned gas to Emisal factory.
